Gaudi's Playground

Antonio Gaudi has been my favorite architect since the first time I laid eyes on his work. The organic structure of his buildings, his incredibly complicated and yet practical design process, they way he incorporated all elements of nature and design to create a truly functional space is awe inspiring. Gaudi is the only man talented enough to be considered God's architect and my inspiration to visit Barcelona. I basically did the entire Gaudi tour of Barcelona, but I truly loved the city. Its beautiful, easy to navigate and the sophisticated cosmopolitan feel, make it one of my favorite cities in Europe.

The exterior of Sagrada Familia. It began construction in 1882 and is slated to be finished in 2026.

Antonio Gaudi's grave lies in the crypt of the Sagrada Familia, the most appropriate place, in the heart of his life's work. He died a poor man in a poor mans hospital after being struck by a tram. No one knew who he was because he lived so simply. Even his life was incredibly beautiful.

I was lucky enough to attend mass in this incredible building. It moved me to tears.

My favorite of Guadi's exteriors, Casa Batllo.

Park Güell

Casa Mila... Built in 1912, and still inhabited.

Incredible interior courtyard

Gaudi even made chimneys beautiful

Barcelona wouldn't be complete without a nude beach day!
